TRIO. FOR THE BEAUTY OF IT

Dance and music styles often emerge along migration routes. They reflect the personal experiences of their protagonists, who mix the influences of their old and new homes and develop them into new genres.

For Trio. For the Beauty of it, the members of the transnational ensemble LaFleur – Alex Mugler, Voguing dancer from New York, Carlos Martinez, High Energy dancer from Mexico City, Ordinateur, Coupé Décalé dancer from Paris and Abidjan, director Monika Gintersdorfer from Berlin and multi-genre composer Timor Litzenberger from Hamburg – create a dance piece that reflects the transcontinental connections between their dance stiles and scenes.

It is presented in collaboration with the Palermo-based organisation Artemigrante at Chiesa Santa Chiara, an important meeting place for Palermo's various migrant communities.

Gli stili di danza e di musica emergono spesso lungo le rotte migratorie. Essi riflettono le esperienze personali dei loro protagonisti, che mescolano le influenze delle loro vecchie e nuove case e le sviluppano in nuovi generi.

Per Trio. For the Beauty of It, i membri dell'ensemble transnazionale LaFleur - Alex Mugler, ballerino di Voguing da New York, Carlos Martinez, ballerino di High Energy da Città del Messico, Ordinateur, ballerino di Coupé Décalé da Parigi e Abidjan, la regista Monika Gintersdorfer da Berlino e il compositore Timor Litzenberger da Amburgo - creano un performance di danza che riflette le connessioni transcontinentali tra i loro stili e scene artistiche.

Il lavoro viene presentato in collaborazione con l'organizzazione palermitana Artemigrante presso la Chiesa Santa Chiara, un importante luogo di incontro per le varie comunità di migranti di Palermo.
